I have that system and agree but what if it has issues? This unit needs to be 100% issue free IMO

That's a great point. A cooler or a radiator filled with dust cools nothing (as my granpappy used to say ).

I've had an H100 for over a year with a crap ton heavier usage than this rig will have and no issues. I have a friend who has run an h60 for longer with 0 issues.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

You probably do a lot more maintenance and cleaning too. This thing is goint to going months without the attention we all give our machines.

But I do think you are right.....One of the Corsair loops would be great. Point the fans out, and make sure that you have an overall positive pressure in the case to help with the dust, and it should be rock steady.

Not really. I need to clean it every 3 months or so. Something that could be done though is to install fan filters.

    Children's Hospital Build Question

    I'm going with a CM Hyper 212.
Still have to figure out a case, psu and os.
I traded for a Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller for it through Craigslist. Was new and didn't cost me anything. Considering my money troubles that is a nice bonus.

    Re: Children's Hospital Build Question

I have the corsair. However, I've heard that they can fail (not that a fan can't...). However, you're adding extra part capable of failing.

    1. Fan (maybe 2x fans depending on model)
    2. Pump
    3. Hoses

If you compare the number of parts that can fail in water cooling vs basic air cooling, it is more substantial. The overall chances, however, are relatively low. If you're trying to go as close to zero failure/maintenance as possible, I'd also recommend an SSD for a drive.

Why not just get them an Xbox or something?
