Thread: win 8 /laptop help

trying to take a bunch of crap off my neices laptop tool bars and what not but i dont understand win 8 when i go to control panel unintall keeps telling me please wait untill the current program is uninstalling but nothings happening cant figure out how to read the task manger powering it down (pressing power button) didnt do nothing so not sure what i'm doing wrong

Windows key> type power>shutdown.
