Hmm... That is pretty crazy for a release price. Perhaps I will just Quad SLI with a 2nd 690.

I don't really think it's crazy. We're talking about highly OCable cards that are made from the chipset meant for workstations. Also, 6GB of VRAM....crazy.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Okay, getting pretty anxious for some reviews here. Lots of previews floating around.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Preview - GK110, GPU Boost 2.0, Overclocking and GPGPU | PC Perspective
PC Perspective will have their review up on Thursday and will also have a live stream at 2:00p EST with nVidia's own Tom Peterson. They did a similar live stream with the release of the GTX 690. I am still leaning towards the "not for me" side of the fence, as I have always wanted to try quad SLI, but this thing does look pretty boss. For those of us on here that own a GTX 690, we probably all agree that the 690 is one of the best built cards ever in terms of build quality. This card appears to be on par with what was offered with the 690.

Re: Nvidia Geforce Titan
I don't know, I think the 590 was on par with the 690 in terms of quality..... though the 590 was a single production run so not many people have seen / handled one in person.
Luckily the Titan is going to be a normal production card, so you can get 2 / 3 / 4 as your wallet recovers.... lol
I have been hearing overclocks of 1100 mhz and higher with the stock cooler..... and its very very quiet...... I think it might beat a 690 because you just can't overclock with a 690..... (voltage lock)-- Intentionally Left Blank --

I have handled the GTX 590, and while I don't dispute it being a well built card, I just don't think it is in the same ball park as the GTX 690. The 590 had a plastic cover over the heatsink while the 690 is constructed out of aluminum with a "trivalent chromium plating" while the fan mount is made out of an "injection molded magnesium alloy" to reduce weight while also improve heat dissipation (according to nVidia). The Titan looks to be of the same build quality, which makes me feel a bit better about the price tag.
And as for the overclocking, I run my GTX 690 at 130% target power, GPU offset at +150 MHz, and the Mem Clock offset at +100 MHz. It overclocks pretty well considering that there are two screaming GPUs. I run my cards well above the stock 680 speeds.
