Zip ties and even a little wire loom. Auto parts stores sometimes have colored loom by the stereo install stuff. I used red to match my case.
I wired and re-wired a couple times before I was happy with it.

    Re: New Build Guidance

Got everything in the case and running.

Problem: I power on, AsRock logo comes up for the mobo. Windows 7 gets about 5 seconds into its loading screen then it asks me if I want to start as normal, or repair something or other. I've tried both methods and it just keeps repeating

I have all same hard drives, operating system etc

Only things that changed were ram, mobo, CPU and gpu

    Help!

    Re: New Build Guidance

Did you do a new Windows installation? If you are doing a new motherboard, you really need to wipe your old hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows 7.

Windows is basically trying to load your last OS install, but the hardware is all different.

Well that sucks. Guess I'll have to do a fresh install.

Once you get the drivers installed and Windows activated (that part can actually wait), make sure to run all of your Windows Updates before doing too much connecting to the internet. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yep. Windows updates are a must. Lots of nasty crap out there right now. Drive-by infections are at an all time high... but are generally related to things like Java, Flash, etc being exploited, but there are IE flaws as well that are actively being exploited.
