All this wouldn't be necessary if my motherboard would stop eating my graphics cards... 2 nvidia 670s and a 660ti were fried in this pc... I'm 90% sure it's the mobo as my mouse stops working at least once a night and needs a pull and replace to work. Sad since I replaced my mouse thinking it was faulty. The new one does the same... Does the same to the keyboard occasionally and my headset.

    damn.

The northbridge handles pcie... southbridge usb and peripherals and such... If I were a betting man, and some say that I am, I wouldn't bet on the motherboard. I'd bet on the power supply spiking and sending too much juice to the board.

Randomly d/c my mouse? It happens consistently everyday at least once... The other day I left my pc downloading a game and came back to a black screen saying something along the lines of no valid boot device.

if the power spikes and sends too much juice to the southbridge it's entirely possible it could reset the usb ports or other random wackiness.

It COULD be the motherboard... but the path of least resistance for testing would be to pull the power and test with another PSU.

Ok I have 0 issues with the 5870 but the other cards fried? Is that even possible? Or are amd cards that beauty? As a side note if I replaced it should I amp up the power or is 700w plenty for a potential crossfire or duel 670 setup? (if the power was the issue I'll probably buy a 670 or a 680...

I would use a calculator to check that. I'm not a good gauge of that. I have 1200 watt psu's in both my boxes. And probably need 2/3 of that.
