    getting error when trying to load display drivers for xfx hd 5770 in win7 setup

    my screen goes black after a short period of time during the windows 7 installation so i read that i needed to copy the latest drivers to a flash drive. it keeps saying its not compatible or its the wrong driver no matter which one i try...

    Does your mobo have an integrated graphics card? If so, take out tgr 5770, and then install windows. Once it's set up, then do the video card.

    no or i would've done that... sux. im thinkin about spending like 30 bucks on a cheap one just to install if i cant figure it out.

    ive tried using the drivers from the cd that came with the graphics card and using the one from the website idk what to do...

    Windows should be able to install a generic driver. Are you using an installation CD or a flash drive?
