    Monitor Resolution Help

    Hey guys,

I have an MSI N660Ti PE 2GD5/OC gpu which is currently running (2) 24in monitors with 1920x1200 resolution at work. Would this video card support (2) 30in monitors with 2560x1600 resolution on each monitor? It shows in the specs for the gpu that the max resolution is 2560x1600 but I am not sure if it will support 2 monitors with that resolution.

    Any info would be helpful.

We are in need of new monitors and we would like to go bigger with better resolution if possible.

    I think you'd be fine.

Yes, it should be fine. With that res, you will need Dual Link DVI cables or Displayport. Good monitors should come with both. HDMI may work as well, but I am not sure how well with the 2 screens.

What did you go with? Dell Ultrasharp?

I have a Dell Ultrasharp U2711 and I love it. 2560x1440 res with the best picture and color accuracy I have ever seen. It also games well. I may eventually upgrade to the 30" with 2560x1600 resolution.

Really, any IPS monitor will be great, especially with the higher resolution.

We are just looking at different monitors right now. We use them to process Seismic Data for the oil industry. So we need the best resolution and the pixels so that we can get the best quality for our clients. I was looking at the Dell Ultrasharps.

Asus also makes good ones, although you'll probably be able to get the Dells for cheaper via your company.

I'd also reommend checking out PLS panels. Cheaper and generally better than IPS.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
