So, now this is fixed (somewhat at least).

I've been on a 6mb connection for what seems like forever, and a tech comes out...sets me up a new router/modem (this is now the third one by the way.)

Then, the following Monday another tech comes out and replaces some equipment outside. He comes in and says the wire out in this area isn't the right gauge for 6mb....and it'll cost $800,000 to upgrade to fiber optic.

I tell him to knock me down 3mb, cause I'd rather it be stable at that...than unstable at 6mb.

The techs on the phones need to stop telling people they're eligible for 6mb when the wire out here can't handle it. :/

I'd rather have that, than have 6mb ...and 160 ping to a Dallas server.

I need to test it during peak hours, and see how it is.
