    Chargers fire Marty Schotenhimer

now this is a huge surprise, schotenhimer has lost the past few years during the playoffs, but this last season the chargers went 14-2, had the number 1 seed in the AFC, but they lost the first playoff game they played against the patriots, the chargers GM and marty had a not so good relationship with eachother, so marty got the axe, oh how the teams that fired their coach are wishing they would have waited just a few weeks longer

Definitely happened because he didnt get along with the GM, which I dont really get because I heard the Chargers might "part ways" with the GM after the draft. I was watching ESPN today and they had a "professional matchmaker" lady on the show and they were matching prospective coaches up with the GM like a dating game, it was pretty funny. Anyway, who do you think the new Chargers coach will be? Jim Mora? Pete Carroll? Mike Martz? Norv Turner? Lol its like a guessing game at this point.

the seahawks just signed jim mora as our secondary coach, which will likely put him in place to take over for holmgren when his contract expires, but i think the chargers might entice mora away, which would be a good thing for the seahawks the last thing we need is another sub-par coach, we have had our fair share

pete carroll will probably stay at USC and continue to dominate the NCAA, if he is smart he will, but i wouldnt mind seeing him take over for holmgren at the end of his contract

anyone ever use the motorola HT820 bluetooth headset?

my current headset has this ridiculously long cord, which isn't always a bad thing, but very annoying in my case. my desk chair constantly rolls over it and i'm sure before too long, it's going to tear the cord, or break the jacks in my PC.

i'm considering getting one of these Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headsets, but am looking for input from anyone with experience with them. my thinking is that i could use the bluetooth headset for my PS3 as well. looking over the "full specifications" link, under "call management features", it says "(note: voice calls are not supported by PC adapter; for optimal use, power-off the Bluetooth feature in your handset when using this adapter.)", which is kind of disturbing.

if not this headset, does anyone have any experience with other bluetooth stereo headsets?

Sorry, don't know much of anything about the bluetooth stuff. I did post in the 2142 forum in the microphone levels thread about the 5.1 surround sound headphones/mic setup that i use. It can't be beat for quality, but im afraid it does have a cord you would have to work around.

The surround sound in and of itself makes them worth it, big time. I put up a link in that thread to the manufacturer.

To respond to this part, this seems to be specifically referring to their "Bluetooth® Stereo PC Adapter PC850" component, which probably offers a limited Bluetooth stack and only will operate as a stereo headset and nothing further. If you're using a normal Bluetooth device to sync with the headset, I bet it would work just fine. If you're not sure still, buy it locally from a retailer with a good return policy.

I've used a few other of the Motorola Bluetooth headsets, and other than shoddy construction in a few cases (I don't see your set having the same problematic rubber ear hooks though, which is good) the sound quality was decent. These seem to be much higher quality than what I'm used to using, so you'll probably get better mileage out of them.
