Interesting that they used the latest AMD driver, but not the latest Nvidia one. I'd also wager that it only outclasses the 690 since it's pushing such a high multi-monitor resolution. It does have 6GB of memory after all. Also, given how it benches >2x higher than a 7970, I'm wondering how much of that is the memory and how much it's stock OCed. A better system to have tested it against would probably be something like Imisnew's system that has 2 4GB 680s in it. I'd wager that Imis' set up would beat it in benchmarks.
P.S. Lol at using an Intel chip to bench an AMD flagship card.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

I wouldn't touch an AMD GPU at this point, especially one that relies on Crossfire. They've got some serious issues that they need to sort out. Head over to PCPerspectives and read up on their 'Frame Rating' technology. Shows that AMD is greatly behind nVidia in TRUE performance (not the BS frame ratings that things like FRAPS present to you.

I think that this might be one of the reviews you're referring to.

I just saw this one after your comment.
Interesting to say the least. Thankfully I'll be forced to leave the difficult decisions of which $1000 GPU to purchase for someone else

I had a pair of crossfire'd ATI cards before they got bought by AMD. I always had driver issues and whatnot. I currently have 2 560-ti's and have had minimal problems; the overall quality of NVidia cards and their drivers are superior; I'd say the price drop on a lot of AMD products isn't worth it. This summer I'm probably upgrading to a 690 or a titan. Depends on the financial situation whether I upgrade right away or wait for the 7xx line to drop, but either way I won't be going AMD, though that does look like some enticing hardware.

AMD Single GPU solutions still make sense for the buyer in the $200-250 price range. The 7870 is the sweet spot at that price and it comes with Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider if you buy from select retailers (Newegg, Amazon, Tiger Direct, etc).
Don't count them out on the single GPU market.
