Haswell, Buy or Wait?
I've read a couple less than flattering reviews so far, but testing methods were not very thorough.
From what you guys are seeing/reading what are your thoughts?>
I want to move off my i7-950 so I can get more fps in Arma3. Right now I'm surviving but can't set my settings (view distance) high enough to make the extra long range sniper shots. Damn expensive upgrade for a single game.

It is probably time to upgrade, but the 950 should run ARMA. What is your GPU?

Re: Haswell, Buy or Wait?
excuse me while I laugh hysterically... AMD hasn't been a player in years. They've stated that they no longer want to compete in the enthusiast market. They are selling to a price point, not a performance level. Nothing they have in the pipeline is going to compete with haswell.

Re: Haswell, Buy or Wait?
Since Haswell is seriously that disappointing there might just be a window in which AMD could come in and compete with Haswell. We will see in time. Meanwhile anyone else see the lack luster jump in the last two intel core gens? I would say they are suffering from a lack of competition to me. They shouldn't have over done it with their aggressive product placement campaign.
