I'd pick the newest phone that meets your requirements. The Note II is a little 'old' at this point and the Note 3 is slated to launch in the September time frame. In the coming months, the HTC One will be available for Verizon customers. The long rumored Motorola X Phone should also be out here in a few months. They just started sending it through the FCC for approval, so that means it's not too far off in the future from launching somewhere. If it were me, I'd stay pat with your Sprint phone/service until a few newer phones were available from Verizon.

I have a verizon note II and I love it. Battery life is amazing. Only complaint is where the back and settings buttons are I hit them constantly without intending to because they are so near to the edge of the phone. But was fixed when I got a case that gave me a little more room to grab the phone. Speed. Power. Its all there. Havent played with the s 4 much. Just tinkered with a co-workers. Buts specs wise it is a tad better. Basically I would say unless the big screen is the feature you want. Just get the s4. You will be happy either choice. They are both fantastic phones

Re: Galaxy s4
Yeah a LOT of bloat on the S4 but not uncommon from any smartphone Ive had in the last 5 years. I got rid of a lot of stuff on mine (well disabled apks to my sdcard just in case) and saved a good amount of space on the phone and a decent chunk of RAM from being able to disable some of the push notification / sensor crap that these things were running.

Re: Galaxy s4
Pretty sure I'm going with the One later this month as I've heard it's finally coming to vzw.
Got to mess around with one this weekend for about 20 minutes and I was pretty impressed.
The moto X or whatever its called probably won't be out until later this year and I've read some articles stating that might bot be as revolutionary as people assume it might be (given how long its been in development)

Re: Galaxy s4
You'll be happy. Best phone I have ever owned, and one of the highest quality pieces of electronics I have ever owned. It's easy to tell that the body spent considerable time on a C+C machine. A real breath of fresh air after the plastic Samsung nightmare pos that was my Galaxy S2. It almost drove me to Apple.....shudder.
