06-29-13, 12:31 PM #1Almost time...
My Corsair AX1200 PSU came in yesterday. Now I need to order some new compression fittings, a few feet of tubing, and some power supply cables, and we are in business!
I will be draining my water loop, disassembling everything, cleaning, and re-working my loop. I have a couple custom things planned as well, but I have to get the parts ordered first.

The build is now underway. Teardown is complete. Reusable components are being cleaned of dust. Water cooled components have been flushed and cleaned. Fabrication will start on Thursday for custom panels. Lots of work to get done in 2 weeks. Hopefully there are no snags.

So far so good...
Overclocked to 4.4GHz, the system is running almost 10C cooler than it was before. Part of this is likely due to the components being cleaned, but I am even getting better thermal readings than my original loop when I built it last year. I would easily be around 60C when running Prime95, and after a year of dust buildup in the radiator and natural build-up of gunk in the water loop (yes, life finds a way, even when running an anti-algae biocide), but now I am peaking at about 55C, with an average of about 52C during Prime95 testing.
This means I have a bit more head room, but I am really trying to keep the inside of the case a bit cooler to allow some more overclocking of the Titans without causing them to spin their fans up too much.
Other than that, I lost my RAID array when I reset my BIOS to defaults. It shouldn't have lost the array, as I didn't actually make any physical changes to how the devices were connected, nor did I make any changes to the controller, but oh well. It was just my Steam and Origin games, so I wiped them and created a new Array. The OCZ Vector drive is GREAT! I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a higher capacity SSD.
I am not finished with everything just yet. Before I get in and finish the cable management, I am letting the system run for a few days to flush out the air pockets so I can top off the reservoir and officially seal the loop.
