Sonic wall z105
My Work is installing a Sonic wall z105 and replacing our Cisco router.
Anyone cam explain what this does for the and us as users.
They are telling us they can track everything we go to and all our key strokes.

Read the user agreement front to back. It'll probably state that you have no reasonable expectation of privacy if you choose to use their network, which is common in most user agreements. What that means is that they will have permission to view anything you do, emails (even the contents), browsing, phone calls, etc.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

We used Sonic Walls back when I used to do commercial IT work. They were basically routers that could do other functions if you bought licenses for those other functions. The common ones were Web filtering, anti virus, anti spam, and firewall. But there were others too. That was back in 06 so I am sure some things have changed. They are probably exaggerating about the key logging though. I imagine that they will know everything about your online habits at work though. Most IT departments track everything you do at work. There are legal, productivity, and training reasons to do so.

That's relatively standard. Mostly will allow them to block certain types of traffic easier, and keep logs in case something happens. I've seen time constraints put on non-work sites before, although I don't know if that firewall has that type of capability.
