I recently added an IBook G3 keyboard to it, too ...because those boards look nicer. Yes, the RAM is maxed out.

It's still a nice machine, considering it's age. I paid $150 for it in 2008 and I've only spent money for the keyboard, ($17), RAM ($60), and some nice AudioTechnica earbuds ($25)...

Videos play horribly, but if you use YouView, they're fine.

So you're one of those people. We recently just sold our last two G4 ac adapters at work and I was wondering, "who the hell would still be using a G4?". Now I have my answer.

Hey Guyver, I see your iBook and raise you a eMac, got it for free in 2009 I believe, possibly 2008, I can't quite recall.

I've been hitting the retro rig. I completed the Factory Driver campaign in NFS Porsche Unleashed. Now I am doing the Evolution mode, where you start out back in the 1950s and you get to upgrade your Porsche over time and as new models come out. It is fantastic.

I personally know of two 17" G4 iMacs that are still in continuous service. They're acting primarily as wireless bridges, but occasionally someone will fire up a browser or a shell prompt.

A few years ago I looked into the possibility of replacing the old PPC guts with a modern x86 and the latest version of OS X. That I could find, no one had yet solved the problem of connecting the monitor to the new hardware.
