29" monitor?
Anyone running a 29" monitor? I bought a 24" LG IPS monitor and am very unhappy with blurry text on it. looking at other options if I take it back... I just found about the 29" monitors and am wondering if they are as awesome as they SEEM on paper. I was reluctant on eyefinity because of the monitor borders. This would eliminate that.
Thanks,
Brian

Re: 29" monitor?
Personal preference I think and it depends on viewing distance. I have a 27" and while I like it I do think it may have some disadvantages for gaming. That is a lot of screen to look at and a lot of eye movement. Mine is a Samsung and it performs great but sometimes I feel like I miss things in the peripheral.

Re: 29" monitor?
I just got a Dell u2412m 24" IPS and am very pleased with it and would recommend it to any gamer as it actually has lower input lag that my old TN panel.

Re: 29" monitor?
Being the proud owner of a triple 23" monitor setup, I can say you don't notice the borders much at all after 5 minutes of playing (asus pb238 I think). Then again, it's a niche market, as you don't use them much for gameplay as you do peripheral vision.
That, and the game has to support triple monitors or else it's unplayable. But for the few games that do...

Re: 29" monitor?
That was actually one of the monitors I was considering when I bought the dell but I am a sucker for 16:10 which is something else to consider Though I admit it does cost a bit more.
I am currently working on an eyefinity setup and a good friend of mine has one with dell 22"s and he highly recommends the bezel compensation feature in the eyefinity setup.

Re: 29" monitor?
I find that a 24 is almost too big. I cant imagine a 29 monitor.
I have used my 46 inch TV but I say a few feet further away. To glance at the edges I had to take my eyes off the center of the screen. I had to be 8 feet away from it to make it playable in FPS games
