I've been pretty happy with my Rocketfish aluminum mousing surface. I think it ran me about $25 when I bought it. They have them cheaper now.

Yeah, good cheap hard mousepad. My brother loves it. I had bought it for myself, but I just don't hard mouse mats. All about the soft for me.

I currently use a Razer Goliathus Extended Speed Edition soft mat (basically covers my whole desk and my keyboard and mouse fit on it comfortably). I love it, after about 3 years of extensive use it is starting to fray a little and the rubber mat started crumbling on it just the other day in a corner that it gets heavy use.

I know exactly what mouse mats you're talking about that we got those free ones at QuakeCon. I have one of the huge ones still myself but it's unbranded and I haven't used it in a while just because of room on the desk and I kinda forgot I have it. My mom has the second, smaller one that I got.

I know Imisnew would probably remember the name of the company...but I think it is Artisan Mousepads: Gaming mouse pads | For Expart players - Artisan

    Re: Mouse pads

I use an Alienware gaming pad that came with an Alienware laptop I bought in 2007. It's way better than a regular mouse pad. Plus it's still in service which is more than I can say about that crappy laptop that came with it. For the record, a $2300 for a mouse pad is not a good deal.

Same. $20 for the best pad I've ever owned.
