If you don't have a MicroCenter nearby I or someone else who does could buy and ship usps priority mail for less than what the parts would cost from newegg most times.

Just a thought but what do i know?
If your budget is $800 for basically everything but mouse, keyboard, monitor, you can... When you say you can't beat it for the money, I agree that there is some sort "sweet spot" for getting the best performance for your dollar, but the ultimate deciding factor is often the budget. If you only have $600 for the entire system, spending $300+ on a CPU/board doesn't leave much room in the budget for a GPU.

I'd personally go with Windows 8 at this point... Windows 8.1 + Classic Shell is almost exactly like Windows 7.

^ What that guy said. You would be miles ahead going with ivy bridge intel instead of the FX line of AMD. The price though is hard to argue even if it doesn't stack up well comparatively speaking.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

For whatever reason I have brand loyalty to AMD. I have a 8350 vishera and needless to say it runs well. I've never had any issues with amd. They may not be as nearly efficient in terms of power and hear, but it runs fine for me.

That seems high for a 7870. I have the oc'd version and I got it for $180. Hang around myfatwallet or slickdeals and wait for one to pop up on sale.

Not to sound like a broken record from other threads but spend the extra $30 and go with a core i5 and MSI Mobo bundle from MicroCenter.
