ok so now its a software problem i guess windows isnt starting its in system restore but seeming to take forever can i reformat thru the setup not really sure what to do

Are you installing Windows or attempting to boot off your existing installation of Windows?

You need to format and reinstall Windows from scratch.

This is what I was trying to get at... When you change up as much hardware as you have, always reload Windows. Yes it's plug-n-play, but you typically get degraded performance out of your hardware if you let Windows detect the new hardware and go from there.

yeah i was trying to figure out how to format out side of windows also everythings gonna be on hold till i find my win 7 DVD or buy a copy of win 8

Do you have the Windows Activation Key? If so just download a copy of whatever version of Windows it is.

You can download an official ISO of Windows 7 SP1 x64 from here:

http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24209.iso

You of course need your activation key... as Illusion said... but you can do the install... and have up to 30 days to activate before Microsoft deactivates your OS.

You can do the format from the installation CD during the install. You just need to go to 'advanced' mode when you're selecting the partition you want to install the OS on and you can delete the existing partitions and create new ones.. You will lose everything on the drive if you do this, so if you have any data saved there... you'll lose it.
