    New hardware

The biggest confusion area I have with PC set ups is cooling. About 100 different people tell about 100 different things and they all say its the best way. Some say it depends on the case, the pressure, blah blah blah. So I'm just gunna ask you guys.

I have a carbide 500R case Corsair Carbide Series 500R Black Steel structure with molded ABS plastic accent pieces ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Newegg.com

And I have a Corsair H60 out for delivery now CORSAIR Hydro Series H60 (CW-9060007-WW) Water Cooler - Newegg.com

Now I know I should place the H60 on my back exhaust fan with a push/pull set up. I just don't know what to do with my two extra fans I have. In the 500R you have two intakes in the front and an intake on the side. Then I have two spots on the top and one on the bottom for more fans. What's the best situation here?

The front fans should be intake, the top should be exhaust (heat rises) your H60 would be best suited on the back... and I don't even know that you need anything on the side unless your video card or CPU run exceedingly hot.

So my two extra fans should go to exhaust on the top? My main concern is my cpu(which is why I got the H60). It would run at about high 70s during most newer games with the stock heatsink...which I think came with it or it was from the old one, I can't remember.

And yea my card gets a tad warm, but the side already comes with a 200mm fan. When my side panel is on it does an ok job at keeping it a degree or two cooler.

Is the side fan pushing in or out? It should be intake to get cool air on the video card.

Ah the old positive vs negative air pressure debate. I am in the positive air pressure camp myself. Positive pressure equals denser air which is better for taking the heat off the heat sink or radiator fins. The air will find its way out if you can get it in. Others may have different opinions and no rule is without exceptions.

Came in, set it up, and if this temp program I'm running is correct I'm sitting idle at 7C. I played about 30mins to a hour of Darksiders 2(which was overheating my cpu) and my temps didn't go above 25C. Loving this cooler already

    Are you sure? 7C is ~44F. 25C is 77F.

Well then this program is wrong, or I'm reading it wrong.
