almost 24 hours play time into BF4 now and all I can say is the gtx 780 is a beast of a card. Everything on ultra and so smooth.....I love playing the islands map with the rain and waves....

Can you describe the difference between the old and new pc? From the perceptive of how BF4 plays differently?

Re: New Build, thought I would share

my old rig was a first gen i7, 6 gigs of triple channel memory and a gtx570 video card. I didn't even try to play bf4 on it. I built the new rig specifically with BF4 in mind. So no, I can't tell you how it played on the old rig because I didn't purchase BF4 until after I built the new one. I can tell you that in Planetside 2 (another one I play) on the old rig I was bottle-necked at the cpu and would experience lag and rubber banding in game even on the lowest graphics settings. I would pull 60fps on low settings. On my new rig I run all games on ultra, no rubber banding, no lag. Even in BF4 yesterday everyone was complaining about rubber banding on the water map, I had no issues. The only time I get a rubber band like experience is right at the end of the match before the game over screen but I figure that is just the game engine spinning down.
