If you have a 64 bit processor, always go for it. W8 has been performing better with games after the recent 8.1 patch. You can get rid of metro.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

    I don't think so. I think only W7 and below. I don't think anyone makes 32 bit laptops/desktops anymore.

Sure you can. Microsoft Windows 8 32-bit (Full Version) - Newegg.com

Windows 8 has a new 'start screen' interface that most people using it, disable by running something like Classic Shell or some other similar utility. There are some pretty nice performance gains in gaming running Windows 8. Other than that there's no huge difference between the two.

IF you want to use more than 4 gigs of RAM, you'll want the 64-bit version of Windows.

From what I remember, if you buy the disk for Win8 you get both 64 and 32 bit in the same disk. That's becoming a new standard for MS.

Idk if most people disable it. On here they do, but most of the people I know that use Win8 like the new Start screen.

Most computer enthusiasts do. The metro garbage is HORRIBLE for a Mouse/Keyboard interface. If you have a touch-enabled monitor or are using it on a tablet... it's a different story. It's what's limiting widespread adoption by enterprise shops.
