I should mention, a main part of the reason why I didn't like it is because I didn't spend time setting it up how I like it. There is so much customization it's ridiculous. You can set independent acceleration speeds in each direction! I think when I first plugged it in, it had different accelerations for vert/horiz acceleration which I wasn't used to nor did I even try to fix it. I'll bet if I had it configured with similar software settings to the others I've used, I'd be a believer too

Re: time for a new mouse ??
I've been using my Logitech mouse for about 12 years (4 of which I was competing in CoD and all 12 years I've been doing heavy photo and video work) and it's finally starting to break down. I'll probably go with the Logitech G500 because this mouse has been such a beast.

I have a R.A.T. 7 and it's freaking amazing. I added the right side finger rest and now my thumb and pinky stay up off my mousepad comfortably. It's great.

On my 4th Razer mouse:
Copperhead - Loved it... killed it.
Lachesis - Hated it... sold it... bought another Copperhead
Taipan - Wasn't sold on it at first, but now I absolutely love it. The side buttons had different locations than my previous Razer mice, so that took me a while to get used to, but I love the simplicity and performance out of the mouse.
I couldn't find a new Logitech mouse that didn't look like Robocop, but I was seriously considering one before getting the Taipan.
