It's probably just the wire breaking near/after it exits the case of the mouse...moving it around breaks contact and makes your system not see it anymore....you can cut the end and re-connect it to the mouse and it will most likely be fixed...I had to do this to my MX518 probably 5 times over the course of 8 years.

was looking at logitech today there gaming mice are fuckin pricey i got my g400 years ago for 50$ now they are like 60 and up what are other good brands around the 50$ range ??
oh and preferably something with on the mouse DPI adjustments button or switch

I've been having the same trouble. Finally got comfortable with my G9 and now they no longer carry it.
Anyone have any experience with the Mad Catz brand, been thinking about buying one of their R.A.T. mice. They range from 60 to 150.

I just bought the G602. Got it for less than $60 after taxes. Still rocking the original batteries. 250 hours of life is pretty slick. I'm not liking my grip on the mouse, cramps my hand. I still have the G500 here that I swap back to from time to time.
Looked at the R.A.T mice but I've never talked to any one who owned one so I never could convince myself to try them out.
