I keep my Nexus 7 with me almost always. I couldn't do that with a laptop. I consume a lot of media on my tablet. I watch my YouTube subscribed channels almost daily on it. I use it to read my RSS feeds. I use it to peruse the forums when I'm not at my PC. I typically only use my phone for that stuff if we're out somewhere and I don't want to break out my tablet. Plus it's great for casual gaming. PvZ2 is a fun game.

Re: Toy time!!!
Ehhh, still doesnt pique my interest enough but its obviously personal opinion. I sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day for work and then another 1-3 hours a night for casual gaming, web browsing, media, etc... Im never really on-the-go where I have the need or want for the reasons mentioned. I can do most of that on my phone without having to carry anything extra around or pay for another monthly data plan.
But enough of me pissing all over your parade...
Its always fun to buy new toys. I think thats why its so hard to get a Christmas list together because I just end up buying all the cool stuff when that "itch" sets in.

Let me piss on your pissing parade.
1) I don't like using my work computer for personal browsing. I know they monitor my browsing habits and I like to give off the aura I don't do personal web browsing on work assets. I can sit in front of my work PC and still browsing things on my tablet. I like having a hard home/work split.
2) After hours, I find myself sitting in front of my PC less now that I have my tablet. That's a good thing.
3) I don't have a separate data plan. I tether it to my phone via WiFi.

Re: Toy time!!!
I also use my tablet (samsung galaxy note 8) to take notes while in meetings with its wacom stylus, and also to do quick notes on pictures.
I also use it while traveling to store pictures of receipts and keep track of travel related expenses as well as gps tracking how many miles I drive so I can report that as well. (does most of the car stuff automatically).
Has a weeks battery life so I don't really worry about it unless consuming media on it, which its probably plugged in for anyways.
I also tether it to my phone for data on the road.-- Intentionally Left Blank --

Re: Toy time!!!
yeah... higher resolution than any cintiq... Too bad the only real android art program is sketchbook pro. Never have been a huge fan of that.
Annnnyway... Tablet acquired and Commander on 2560x1600 is glorious.
That Tegra4 chipset gets HOTTER THAN HELL though. It's almost uncomfortable to hold when it's playing a game. And it was getting warm just using android itself.

Re: Toy time!!!
Yesterday I tried one of these:
https://www.sensubrush.com/
... on an iPad Air.
Whoa.
I demo'd it on ArtRage. Used another app too (Procreate?). Very impressive. The brush/stylus was $40 in an old-school brick-and-mortar art supply store. Used it for 15 minutes, but after 2 I knew I was going to buy it. This one will be a present. I'm likely to get one for myself.
Can't believe there aren't more painting/sketching programs for Android.
Cheers,
AetheLove
