Just my new Headphones and Mic.

I just couldn't find a Headset that worked for me and my ears. So I decided to leave them behind and get these two beauties. The headphones are Audio Technica M50s and the mic is a Blue Microphone Snowball. What do you guys think?

Sexy sexy, I'm not too familiar with those brands - but they look stellar. Have you put them to use yet? How do you like them?

Yup and aside from some breaking in yet to be done with the headphones they are great. The mic sounds crisp and clear to everyone on TS and I also did and Audacity test to hear for myself and it sounds pretty good. The headphones are so crisp and clear I had to turn down my volume in Windows. They aren't bass heavy like others tend to emphasize but instead are optimized to hear the best of all worlds which means lows, mids, and highs all sound great and allows you to hear music as intended and not to mention those pesky flankers in BF4.

Here is a pretty good comparison for USB mics...

USB Mic Shootout: Review & Audio Comparison - Blue Yeti vs Snowball vs Audio Technica AT2020 - YouTube

I have the Blue Yeti just because I got it on sale for $100. I liked it better than the Snowball, and it had some better features. A stand alone MIC and dedicated headset is the way to go for recording voice audio, but for gaming, you simply can't beat the convenience and simplicity of a gaming headset. Sometimes form and function beat out quality.

Either way, Source, you should be able to do some great recording if you plan on doing game streams and game review videos. That stuff will work great, depending on how you use it. Just don't be surprised if you decided to go back to using a gaming headset/mic.

Honestly that was the way I wanted to go but I couldn't justify the cost of them over getting this setup after finding out how superior in quality this is in comparison to gaming headsets of the same price. I was sorta hesitant that they would not perform well in games but after reading up on the headphones and now having them I can say they are great. That being said I still do have a decent gaming headset.
