    Must have been someone else. I have an i7-2600k, AsRock mobo, and I had gtx560ti before the 760.

    BF4 performs better under Windows 8 but I'd hold off. I'd replace your MOBO, CPU and OS at one time. That way you can do a fresh installation with all the drivers needed.

    Windows 8.1 (or is the latest 8.2?). There are plenty of options to make it so you never have to deal with the app screen and so you have your start menu. Boot times are better as is game performance in many cases.
