Today is the last day that Microsoft will publicly release patches for Windows XP. Going forward, patches will only be available to those who purchase (expensive) extended support contracts. What does this mean to you? Well... any security holes found in Windows XP will not be plugged by Microsoft, unless of course you pay them boat loads of cash. At this point, Windows 7 (and even Windows 8.1) have matured to a point that anyone still running XP should think about upgrading. This is just one of many reasons to upgrade; the greatest of which for most gamers is performance in Win7, Win8 & Win8.1 is greater than that of Windows XP.

God speed, Windows XP. Also Server 2003 and the original Home Server.

No windows has been as good as Windows 95. I mean... what other operating system has ever included music videos as a standard install? Edie Brickel's Good Times and mufuckin Weezer's Buddy Holly were included every single time you installed that OS.

I'm still on Win7 Pro; hesitant to move on to Win8.
My goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.
God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.
