    Re: ASUS Warranty = Terrible

Update. They contacted me today and notified me that the repair has started and will be complete and shipped out on Friday. At least they are working on it, but when you have to wait this long it makes you question ever buying their products again.

Cybs - That sucks about XFX, and I agree that most RMAs I have had to deal with have been painful. Even Corsair left a terrible impression when I wanted to return a product to their store as the compatibility with my PSU was incorrectly labeled on the web site of their store. It took almost a month to get them to respond to my ticket. Once they did, they immediately refunded me the money and allowed me to ship the product in "good faith", which I did. It used to love Corsair and would recommend them before anyone else. Now, they just come off as any other company, which is sad, but that is based on my own personal experience.

Kill8ox - I worry the same as both of my Titans are ASUS. So far, they haven't had any problems.

    .
And now i am on a Corsair dispute again
One of my SSD's died (Corsair Force F115) and even the SSD still have waranty ,they are refusing to make an RMA because i lost my receipt from the local store i bought it from.

Whatever happened with Corsair and those yellow pages they included in all their products with a big "STOP if your hardware is malfunctioning contact Corsair immidietly" and not the local store?!

Yes, that is crap. If you don't have a receipt, they should still award the warranty based off of the manufacturer's date. If you are past that date, then too bad, so sad, I guess... but I still think they should offer the warranty on SSDs without a receipt.

WOW, if Corsair is doing that then yeah, I won't buy from them ever.

Out of curiosity, did you buy it online? If so, you can get your receipt that way or at least a POP (Proof of Purchase). Heck, I've even had the local Frys store research a receipt for me and get me a copy of it. It took a LONG time to get it, but I got it.

I'm not one of those consumers that is all "Meh, it broke so I'll buy a new one". I use those warranties as much as possible. If a $5 item only costs me $2 to send it back, that shit goes back.

No ..I have bought the SSD from a near shop that went bankrupt shortly after i have bought it ,so asking for a copy of the receipt is a no go as the company does not exsist anymore.
Like HeavyG said they could easyly check the waranty of the product by manufacturer date and serial but they are persistant in asking me for a receipt which i do not have anymore.
Also the guy who is handling my RMA request never ever once said something like HI, Hallo, Dear Sir or Mam nor have it closed down with kind regards or greetings or anything like that. Which i find rude tbh, that is customer support rule 101 ,even if you are talking to a complete stranger you should have to have some decensy and treat them like a human being.
I guess i should skipp them too in the future and go with Kingston, from my experience they have great CS.
