Their video cards have always been good. There's cycles of bad drivers on both sides of the coin though. I prefer Nvidia cards, but I'd be equally happy most of the time with an ATI/AMD card.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Maybe I am just lucky but I have had both Nvidia and AMD (ATI) cards over the years and drivers for both have never been a problem. I don't have a favorite. I just buy the best bang for the buck at build time. My current liquid cooled R290 is amazing. I had the original cooler for a while too and while noisy, I couldn't hear it with my headset on.

When I had my two 6970s (we shall ignore how I forgot that when I placed the order I had a third in my cart), I did notice some lag in drivers coming out. It wasn't too bad though. My main problem with them was that I didn't think about the type of cooler the two I kept had. Both had huge copper heatsinks and giant fans. They just dumped all the heat back into the case inside of out the back. That's not AMD's fault, it's mine for going with that cooling system that the company who assembled them used.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Ford makes plenty of money selling cheaper cars that get the job done. I have been as big of an AMD guy as anyone. My last high end build (in December) is an i7 4770k with a Radeon R290. It's wicked fast and nearly silent. That's all I want.

There may be some truth to that. The last Intel rig I built for myself before this one was a Pentium 233 MMX. All AMD between those two. I did build two AMD rigs at the same time as mine for my kids though. So in my case. Intel sold one high end chip to AMD's two midrange chips.

What I have realized is that I think about replying to a post like this but HeavyG has already voiced my opinions.
