Played with it for a few hours last night and a few hours more today. Definitely makes a huge difference in my gaming experience. Won't say anymore here. Read my article when it's done.

    Re: ASUS ROG Swift

Mine was delivered on Thursday. I wasn't home until this morning, so I got to unbox and play some games on it. BF4 at 100-110 FPS with no screen tearing and great picture quality. There is some noticeable picture loss if you adjust the monitor angle too much, but other than that, it has been a real treat.

Anyways, I fully endorse this product if you have the graphical power to make use of the high resolution and refresh rate. Otherwise, you are better off running a 1080p display. There are many 1080 Gsync displays out there now.

Heavy, I just found out that there happens to be a shadow mod for 4k-8k for Alien: Isolation.

    Re: ASUS ROG Swift

Having owned it for a couple of months, I am still very happy with the ROG Swift monitor. I do miss the viewing angles of my IPS. I think the IPS panel just provided a more comfortable working environment as I could be sitting in various positions, as well as viewing the display from a distance in my office without any loss of picture quality.

That being said, GSYNC is still amazing. I love never having any screen tearing. I love that it always seems so smooth, no matter what I am playing. No input lag from Vsync, and no tearing because my GPUs easily run the game over the dreaded 60 FPS mark.

With the price still being $799, I am glad that being an early adopter didn't IMMEDIATELY result in a large amount of depreciation due to a fast drop in retail price. The monitor costs today exactly what it cost when it was originally released back in August, which is a good sign. I expect the prices to come down as the summer approaches and other competitive monitors are released.

Still a good buy, in my opinion.

I am glad that it's working out for you for the most part. I am also glad that AMD users are getting freesync for a fraction of the cost this year!

I might be. My new rig build is gonna take priority, financially speaking. I haven't actually done a full on new CPU/Board in about 3 years, so even though my 3930k is still rocking strong, I will be replacing pretty much everything except for the GPUs and sound card.

I love the idea of a 120Hz GSync IPS monitor, so I am hoping they have some come out soon and at a reasonable price. 60Hz IPS GSync though, I wouldn't really be interested.
