    SuddenLink is the devil

Oh how I hate cable companies everywhere. There is a special place in hell for them. SuddenLink's developers (or contractors) are so garbage that their server redirects when you hit your datacap (yes, another reason ISPs are the devil) trigger a man-in-the-middle attack response from your browser. More specifically, domains that don't host financial transactions - because their DNS server intercept and sniff packets bound for certain domains and respond with a non-conforming certificate. They respond with an attempt to redirect you to their stupid SuddenLink notification page but the only browser stupid enough to actually authenticate the response certificate is Safari.

My first response was - "OMG, someone is intercepting our packets, did they breech our router? what do they have access to? DNS poisoning?" but no, it's just stupid dumb retarded ol' SuddenLink being just as shady as they're allowed to be without opening up themselves to lawsuits for intercepting packets bound for domains that handle financial transactions.

Like, seriously, everyone and their mom can do a valid redirect with a standard conforming certificate and it's no big deal - but the sketchy hacky way that they do everything on top of their janky service, their crappy customer service, and their rude/unknowledgeable techs make them the worst company I've had to deal with.

and SURPRISE SURPRISE...They're the only company in town

There's a reason LA Tech used Century Link for all important stuffs instead of Suddenlink. Of course...you can only get Suddenlink in the dorms. QQ

Death to the ISPs(seriously sick of the fucking oligopoly they have going on to collectively butt fuck us all). There are exceptions...they are usually smaller ISPs or municipal ISPs(which the Big Boys are lobbying out of existence).

Don't worry, once the ISPs put data caps on all of us, we won't be able to use Steam anymore. Hell, we won't be able to afford internet usage the way we have come to love it.

    Go corporations!
