Besides Sonys and HPs I'm pretty much open to anything. I've had pretty good luck with Asus over the last few years.

Buy a macbook pro.

Then hang out in hipster coffee shops.

Bobbarkerissatan will be fooled by your new found hipsterness (wear sandals, red pants, tight purple top and trucker hat, have a uke on your table). Convince him that you're playing games to be sarcastic.

Bob buys this newfound hipster movement and starts playing games again.

We dance for joy as a friend lost is found again.

Or you can buy any best buy special (it's a work laptop)

Sigh. When I was in charge of our desktop/laptop department I had to deal with this type of BS.

So, I want the lightest laptop but I need x, y and z.

Ended up with accessories and so much other crap that all the parts in a bag weighed more than what I originally picked out that was better in all ways...

You can always bring up one the things I said that got me out of the desktop area. If this weighs too much, maybe you need to go to the gym.

The bag... One of the items that matters the least in weight. Not much variation and doesn't have as much impact as the laptop screen size and battery.
