This update showed up today 12/11, it's 29k, and there is NO information available from Microsoft oddly enough, the more information link that normally says what the update is for gives the oops, the page you are looking for error... even google has nothing (except for multiple links to forum posts of people asking questions) Does anyone have any idea what the heck this one might be?

Hmmn? Not on update Tuesday? Maybe a hotfix for the more publicized 0 days recently?

You would think so, what with win7 and all... but the weird thing is that there's nothing anywhere from Microsoft saying what it fixes *scratches head* that's something that they NEVER do is leave out documentation so it's pretty strange

Ah, W7. I guess that's why it's not showing up for me. My laptop and desktop are on 8.1.

3004394 is particularly nasty on terminal servers using PKI. We had to go in and manually remove that update on about a dozen servers yesterday.

I had a Windows update break the HDCP on my Home Theater PC. I couldn't play "protected" content because the display driver from Nvidia on my 750ti was "not compatible". I wasn't sure which of the few updates screwed it up, so I restored to the 9th, and it works fine now.

Edit: I am running Windows 7 on my HTPC.

Heh, none of the info was on a google search when I'd inquired originally, didn't think with it missing it would be posted as quick as it was info wise..lol

I too had dealt with the update breaking my shiz before it was reported. It is nice for the media to be a day late and a dollar short. That PC controls my cable card tuners and DVR, so I couldn't wait for anyone to publish a fix. I just rolled back immediately when I knew the update was screwed up.
