    Re: Help needed....again!

Some more stupid questions to ask you or if you want to try more stuff

1st pull off the video card, you shouldn't need it to post
2nd use only one RAM module (try one in different slots and then try a different module but only one plugged in)
3rd do you have a different heat sink you can try. Maybe the fan's shot. I don't think they'll post if there's no CPU fan. Check you have the CPU fan in the right header

4th there's some jumper for LN2-Mode - I doubt this is it but try LN2_Mode with the jumper in 1/2 mode then try in 2/3 mode and see if either works

5th, I"m going to assume you've already tried the black reset button...

6th, have you tried the MemOK! button? Refer to the manual on how this works

There are 4 lights BOOT_DEVICE_LED, VGA_LED, DRAM_LED and CPU_LED, are any of these lit? If so, that's your problem per the manual.

OK, looking at your pictures, it looks like you have the CPU fan plugged into the CPU Optional header and not the CPU fan. This could definitely be causing you issues.

Thought I would highlight that part since at first glance it looks like a repost.

No the Cpu fan conector is connected as it should be,that is the right conector on top of the motherboard! Been using this board for a half a year so i know where it is. Debug code 00 on the motherboard actualy means not used,so it is a faulty cpu.
It is is just the CPU that have died, first one that i have after 25 years of using Intel.

RMA is filled and a new cpu should be received next year

Going to keep you updated when the new cpu arives, for now i am forced to use the laptop or the iPad.

Did you test the CPU in another board to rule out the motherboard taking a shit? I only ask because I have NEVER had a CPU just up and die on me like that. I had a VRM blow out on a board, taking the CPU along with it, and CPUs dead on arrival, but never had a CPU just stop working. It is almost always the motherboard before the CPU as they go through much more elaborate quality control and testing before being binned, packaged, and sold.

Anyways, I hope it works out.

definitely not a common happening for a cpu to just give up the ghost for no reason.
