No I don't, it picked up all my hardware. Even my Zboard which I found amazing.

I didn't see the need for clean install it was a seamless transition for me. Supposedly you can keep all your files but I didn't want to chance it.

Once you let it do an upgrade install Microsoft ties your hardware to the windows license and let's you clean install with no product key to input it just knows... About time since Microsoft had been collecting motherboard, CPU and hard drive identifying info on our computer for YEARS.

Can a clean install be done at any time after the upgrade and how?

It's only been deployed to my Surface, so far. I have mixed opinions of the ui on that platform because of the way I constantly flip back and forth between desktop and tablet mode.

Some ui oddities can happen when you open desktop apps in tablet mode like multiple windows being visible in a single pane. I also miss the previous window gesture.

Oh, and I haven't figured out if there are any gestures available to the Edge browser when in tablet mode.

    Re: Windows 10 help

Yes, you must do an upgrade to windows 10 to get the free upgrade.

After that verify 100% that is says you are activated successfully.
This also means you should be logged into a Microsoft account with your account verified. (helps register your key/hardware combo)

(the activation servers are getting hammered, so you might have to click activate a bunch of times till it works, if you don't have that option, rebooting works, again might take a few tries)

Then after you are activated, do a clean install on top. Again after coming up login and verify Microsoft account, then it should activate (eventually)

I have gotten both my desktops and both my laptops sucessfully on Win10 with clean installs. And I believe Raush has his desktop upgraded as well.

It will be free for a year so you have time to claim your upgrade. I think I am going to opt for a clean install tonight. I have always been an early adopter.
