Re: Windows 10 help
^Very Cool.....Thanks Festus. Turning the MicroTorrent bs off was at the top of the to-do list, but I had no idea how to go about it.
I was able to upgrade my shit laptop from W7, and played with 10 for a little bit before I started the nuke/reset process. I like it, mostly. The tile bullshit in the Start Menu will be better as soon as I figure out how to configure things without dl'ing anything from the Microshit Store. It would also be nice if the tile part of the Start Menu were collapseable. Otherwise, the startup screen looks mighty nifty, and things look new and shiny.

Hrmm, anyone else noticed a rash of instances on , well, any browser in windows taking you to download pc helper files or other things since you've upgraded to windows 10? The kind of download marker you have to open task manager to get rid of because clicking ANYWHERE downloads the file automatically?

Hrmm, haven't really visited any new sites since updating to windows 10.. game faqs sorts of things, news, etc the thing with manually having to close the browser seems to be happening in chrome (what I've been using for the most part) adblock, etc doesn't seem to stop it, Malwarebytes pro, and eset don't seem to find it *scratches head* it started after downloading swtor but I rather doubt that was the cause of the issue and I haven't downloaded and installed any strange files while inspecting videos of young ladies who are just down on their luck and need a few dollars so I dunno, any scanner I have access to doesn't find anything so just weird... *shrugs* hell maybe I"ll just reinstall windows 10 and everything

Re: Windows 10 help
FYI, If you are running malwarebytes or spybot or any of those it turns off win 10 built in defender. One of the features I don't care for in windows 10 is that any 3rd party protection turns off the built in program. Make sure that chrome is updated to the windows 10 version (version 44ish).
