Re: Win10 event tomorrow
The new surface is interesting, but I don't have a use case for it in my life.
I have two powerful desktops, a work laptop, a personal laptop, and an android tablet. There just isn't a job it does better than these other things.
Maybe the handwriting with the stylus, but I just don't have a use for that right now.-- Intentionally Left Blank --

Re: Win10 event tomorrow
my primary use case for a surface pro is for art. They are a bit cheaper than a wacom companion 2, but there are other options that are cheaper. I got a Dell 7000 series ultrabook convertable with active stylus for 935 dollars from Dell which will do as good a job as the surface (with a better stylus), but not as good as the wacom. But the price per performance is worth the slight difference.
The surface book looks nice but the price is ridiculous at ~2800 bux on the upper end.

Re: Win10 event tomorrow
Yea I think MS has shown with the surface that they've gotten really good at hardware now. So it should be a well made device. I'll not be buying one however because A. the price point is pretty high. B. my surface is fine enough for my mobile PC needs.
I probably won't be buying a Surface 4 either though(least not any time soon) cause there isn't that big of a change from the pro3 that would justify the upgrade. Especially now that I could upgrade to the i5 or even the i7 pro3 for a bit cheaper now that the 4 was announced.
Oh well, just a 950 it is then. That was really all I was looking forward to anyways

Re: Win10 event tomorrow
I took a look at the Surface Book specs, pretty decent. But the price is up there to exactly match the macbook pro lineup.... suck
The new Dell XPS 15 that just got announced / released looks way better than the surface book (minus the stylus, flippy/removable screen)-- Intentionally Left Blank --
