I'm wondering now that TVs have better refresh rates and higher resolutions if they would be any better as monitors.
It was small. lol Facebook took on a whole new look. I would say it was hard on the eyes but i hadn't mounted it to a wall yet either. It was sitting 2.5 ft in front of me. I notice i got use to it real quick though other then gaming. It was harder switching back to the 24. I was originally gonna go with dual 49's but once it was here playing a movie and a game at the same time was able to be done on 1 screen.

I think my 2 biggest problems were not knowing i put the cable in the 30 hz plug and not getting a mouse scroll speed in game i was comfortable with. Of course that could be because it was so close to me it was just hard to keep up.

I upvote on Blood Thirst's page 1 recommendation. Probably the best you'll get. IPS is a must if you're not bothering with high refresh rates.

Dont mind us all jacking your thread White... But I thought I would poke in on the monitor talk.

I bought an Acer G257HU about 6 months ago and have been happy as a clam! I didn't want 4k because I wanted something 28" or less and I found 25" was perfect for a 1440 monitor! No issues in game or out. Supported display port too which was nice. So that's my input :P

The 49 seemed good at the time but it was to big. Great for movies but just fucking around on the computer it was to much. Now im looking for a 32. Anyway what i was going to ask was how do you like the 28 inch screen? Response time and everything good?

I dont' have a displayport cable yet so I'm just running the 30hz hdmi as well for the time being but the screen itself is awesome. Very crisp and clear. No dead pixels. Pretty flimsy stand but can't complain about the screen itself.

    Re: New monitor time

I have both the ASUS PG278Q ROG Swift and the Acer XB240H. Bother are GSync TN panels. The ROG Swift is 2560x1440 and the Acer is 1920x1080. Both are great monitors, but I use the ROG Swift as my main gaming monitor and the Acer is hooked up to my old machine. Once I got Gsync, I just couldn't play on a non Gsync monitor. I think it makes a HUGE difference.

I haven't owned a FreeSync screen yet, but if it works similar to Gsync, then I am sure the experience will be superior to an un-synchronized panel. The problem is that the price is still high on these monitors. Prices have come down a little bit, but not as much as I would have expected after these being out for well over a year.

    New monitor time

I have a friend with an AMD card and he got a FreeSync monitor and I have to say the G-Sync is a far superior monitor technology from my limited experience. You also can't beat the IPS panel in my PG279Q. If you get one though you need to be sure the manufacture date on the box is after October 2015... Prior to that they had horrible bleed
