When I was in college, I had hardware to make the aiming circle. I used one of those binder ring reinforcing circles that I already had a billion of to stop my notes from tearing out. lol

Yeah, I have this feature on my monitor. Kind of shitty if you are into esports gaming, though most big money tournaments make you play in person on their hardware.

I just found it funny that we have someone that was excommed and vac banned for basically doing what a monitor can do in hardware now.

Maybe it's time to revisit that. I know. I know. Zero tolerance for VAC bans. But zero tolerance has always seemed harsh to me. To be specific, I'm referring to revisiting the specific ban you mentioned.
