had to go pass out should be around all weekend though

thought id check the bios see whats up there but it wont let me when i start up the computer f11/del / esc they dont do anything and i cant get in

aaaan of course my mouse and keyboard dont work/power up outside of windows fucking brilliant i wish i could just get my money back on the card and throw this fucking computer in the trash

so how can i get my keyboard to power up outside of windows or whatever and even if i could get into the bios i dont even know what to look for i just know when i installed all tat MSI crap it did a bios update if i cant figure this out by tomorrow im just shipping this card back for a replacment and if that doesnt work guess im fucked

I got back a LOT later than I had planned last night.

ok.... lets wipe the slate clean and start from scratch.

Video card is in the PCIE slot and it has power (8 pin or 6pin connector.) Don't worry that your old card took two power connectors and this one takes one. This one is Pascal based chipset. It's a significant die decrease over your other one and as such it requires less power.

So since windows sees it and you say you have the latest drivers installed we'll assume the hardware install is correct and working.

You need to get 3dmark demo version. Run it. Compare your score to similar machines.

What memory do you have? What cpu?

(also I'm in and out today... planned on responding earlier... had half a message typed and had to leave...)
