Ehh, that's not supposed to happen with windows 10 .. *ponders* I'd almost say that something else was hosed, hrmm... I wouldn't think the cpu or ram persay with what you've described, however I'd be more likely to say the mobo or powersupply.. I know others have talked about power issues being a possibility, hrmm... do you have an extra powersupply or can you borrow one perhaps to test with as a way to rule that out?

Hey, oughta at least try it first man, testing the power supply and resetting the bios won't take all THAT long... and if it saves you $600, no worries, on that note, if you have to do it, you have to do it and several types of new hardware resecently, the E version of the older stuff, kalby lake, skylake, etc... I'd check and see if you have a microcenter nearby they always have good deals, better then newegg in many cases but you have to buy in the store

Did you send the card back? I assume you did. Maybe the GPU cooler on the 1060 was not seated correctly and when it got hot it throttled down.
I have seen stuff like that happen in the past.
I saw in one of your earlier post that you reformatted the hard drive and started over with a fresh OS install.
I want to confirm that you actually did this.

Re: odd stuff
I do not have the same technical ability with computers as some here. But I have used this web site and the tests performed on my PC are understandable for me to use and I believe give a good idea of where I need to update/fix.
I hope it helps. UserBenchmark: PC Speed Test Tool - Compare Your PC
