installed the new 1060 card audio from my monitor /tv isnt being picked up anymore i tryed to run overwatch cant and i get some sorta error like miscosoftbasic rendor and old drivers and my card isnt listed under device manger is just says microsoft basic display adapter dunno whats going on here or what to do

well got most of it sorted out still getting bad preformance outa over watch though even though my frames go between 80 -118 i still feel chop / lag even in the training room

You have the latest nvidia driver installed? Drivers | GeForce (if you are on windows 10 x64)

If so, right click on the volume icon and choose 'Playback Devices' Make sure the nvidia output device is the one set as default for everything. (might have HDMI in the name somewhere, or could be named like your TV brand)

Yeah I had to do a Windows update fixed most everything except my overwatch performance giving g msi CD that came with the card had everything but the nvidia drivers so I had to uninstall all the useless msi programs for now

Never trust the driver CD's for graphics card on initial install always grab the latest from the manufacturer.

Yeah all it had was a buncha crap like aftere burner live update super charger Norton Google drive it took Windows update to get actual nvidia software

Overwatch is running like shit so I reformatted last night incase something from the old card was left behind the auto settings say I should be running at ultra do who know what's clingy on there of I'm lucky everything will be fixed with a fresh install if not FML I'll find out sometime tonight when I download overwatch again

Make sure you checked your settings in Overwatch. If you want to make it painless go ahead and launch GeForce Experience and let it optimize for your 1060

Hopefully the reformat fixed things when I say runs like shit I mean horrible frames like dropping to 30 going up to 100 and shit not even rendering
