Intel Core i5-4690K Haswell Refresh Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I54690K - Newegg.com-Newegg.com (possibley cause its the cheapest)

    mother board

    video card
GTX 1060 (if they ever have them in fucking stock)

    ssd
Mushkin Enhanced ECO3 2.5" 480GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDE3480GB - Newegg.com (just picked one at random)

    hard drive
Seagate Barracuda Green ST1500DL003 1.5TB 5900 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - Newegg.com (cheapest)

    cd/dvd drive
    (does it matter the specs?)

alll in all not inclusing tax and shipping 980 which is over my budget of wanting to spend 800 so anywhere i can scrimp and save i would take parts from this current machine but i kinda want a back up cause shits always going wrong

I think you are fine with psu fan on "top" (though I think it could also be bottom... Case is vented at the top. So it would be either sucking air in from the top and venting out the back or vice versa.

Just the way it seem the psu would blow hot air into vid cards but if I go with the choice of case I picked it can be mounted on top .....though ordering parts over my phone is another story

it's a 3 year old chip. The skylake stuff is the newest.

    Intel Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530 - Newegg.com

Which makes the memory you first posted valid... and your motherboard invalid. In requires a socket 1151 motherboard.

3 years is usually the replacement mark for tech isn't it ? The point it becomes out dated I don't need the newest and greatest just something that will run games well for a couple years
