So we got the right RAM, and installed everything. Everything cycles on for about 45 seconds, reboots, then repeats the cycle. I have double-checked every wire, cable, and connection. What else could I be missing?

well... I'm worried about this ram thing. Did you actually manage to stick DDR3 ram into a DDR4 slot? Because if so you might have damaged the slots.

Yup, also make sure thermal paste is properly applied and the CPU cooler is attached properly. Too tight, too loose or incorrect thermal paste placement can cause the CPU to trip after booting and cycle.

Replacement MB coming Saturday. Hopefully that is all it is.

Also.... some motherboards reboot a couple times the first boot..... did you give it a few minutes before calling it dead.

Also any post-codes or beep codes. If it is powering on for 45 seconds it could be giving a post code that you could lookup.
