My son bought a new mobo, Gigabyte H110M-S2H, and i5 cpu. He is reusing his 600w power supply, RAM, and GTX 760 for now. I have everything installed, and the PC turns on, but nothing shows on the monitor. Any tips or suggestions on what to check first? I am no pro, but this is my 4th or 5th build.

Hm, first thing I would try is unplug the video from the gpu and plug right into the motherboard video. See if you can get it to display anything. If you can get into the BIOS you can look and see if there are any issues with any parts

Some other causes/fixes I have seen/tried recently, not necessarily in this order:
1. Update BIOS (assuming you can get there)
2. Pull out all but one RAM stick and see if it boots.
3. Make sure the CPU cooler isn't on too tight. That can sometimes cause it not to boot.

did you pull the video card out of the system when you tried the onboard video? SHOULDN'T matter but could.
Are you sure you have the power to the video card plugged in?
plus salty's stuff....
is this a new case Are you sure you don't have an errant standoff between the motherboard and the case that could be shorting things?
do you have all of the motherboard power cables plugged in? 24 pin and a 4 or 6 pin...
does it beep at all when you power it on?
Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them. -- Bigdog

I almost forgot this one. I had this happen a year ago when I upgrade from a 24" to a 27" monitor.
One of the pins in the dual DVI cable came out when I unplugged it from my video card when I was moving things around. Check your monitor cable and make sure you do not have a damaged pin that is causing the "blank video".
By unplugged I mean the entire pin came out of the molding and could not be put back in.
If you are using DVI, then try HDMI if the MB supports it. This could be something like a video port on the MB does not work or you have a damaged cable.Last edited by shatter99; 05-23-17 at 04:04 PM.
