Time for a new build...
My last build was never 100% stable and after having it crash twice in the last 24 hours I pulled the trigger and instead of upgrading components and keeping some others... I went all in with a 3000 dollar build from scratch.
CASE: Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV PH-ES515ETG_BK Satin Black 3mm Aluminum Exterior/Steel Chassis/Tempered Glass Panels
PRIMARY BOOT: Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA M.2 Type 2280SS Internal SSD
DATA DRIVE: Toshiba X300 10TB Performance & Gaming Internal Hard Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256 MB Cache
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K Coffee Lake 8-Core, 16-Thread, 3.6 GHz (5.0 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory
MOBO: GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS MASTER LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z390 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX1000 CP-9020139-NA 1000W ATX12V v2.4 / EPS12V 2.92 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular
CPU COOLING: Corsair Hydro Series, H115i PRO RGB, 280mm. Dual 140mm ML PWM Fans, Advanced RGB Lighting & Fan Control w/ Software
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 DirectX 12 RTX 2070 GAMING 8G 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
OPTICAL: Pioneer 6x BDR-XS06 External Blu-ray Burner+100GB Verbatim M-Disc BDXL+Software
There's no external 5.25 bays on that case so I went with a slot load external BDXL burner... because why not?
Here's hoping this one is a little more stable than the last build. (To be fair, some of the components in it are now like 5-6 years old... and it was probably just a bad stick of ram... but TO HELL WITH IT!!! NEW BUILD!!!)
