Why healing infected? The fun part about being infected is that you can suicide-attack. Which is especially fun when you pukebomb.

aye if you ask me the real problem is the smokers melee atack, they need to increase that, when it has people in its tongue is doesnt do as much damage nor does it when it claws, making it virtuall useless in confined spaces, yes the smoker can instantly kill or incap people on some very rare occasions, howeever being a smoker in the underground subway for example is about as much use as a guitar to boyzone, it does get a bit annoying

Hunter was supposed to have regen according to dev notes way back in the day. I remembered my first day playing VS on release day, I was down to about 20hp, sitting on a roof, waiting like a fool for regen to kick in. After a minute of being stationary, I gave up on the matter and kept playing.
Light regen for all infected would be nice, as it would promote those who do well enough to do damage and get away, or heal up a stray survivor hit.

There is one way to heal yourself as infected. Move in the opposite direction to get the "too far away" message and hit E to respawn. On levels where the survivors are moving fast in one direction you hardly lose any time because it resets you right on top of them. This also works great if you're a boomer and you hit them from behind. Spew on them and then run off while they're fighting the horde. You'll get to respawn again in front of them with your timer reset.

I like the idea of a support class infected that heals/buffs the zombies in some way. That would be really fun for me =o
I`m picturing something with tentacles that can stab into regular infected to turn them into something slightly more deadly or stab into special infected to make them a little harder to kill/heal them, or stab into players and weaken them slightly/slow them down/do a little damage?
