Re: Help on getting a new computer.
I would agree that's a good system. I am amazed that someone priced out a reasonable system. Normally people ask for help and say they are one a budget. Then they are given $2000 systems and warnings that if they want to play games they have to spend a lot. It's nice to see good help.

Matching the case to the motherboard format is necessary so that all of the holes in the case line up with all of the mechanical features of the motherboard.
You want to make sure that the case you choose fits an ATX motherboard. Almost every mid-tower case and bigger is OK.
Also look to see whether the case you choose includes a power supply. The case above does not include a power supply, so you would need to buy one seperately. For the machine you are considering I would recommend a 500W power supply or bigger. You will actually be using less power than that at first, but later on you might upgrade to a bigger video card, add another hard drive, another CD drive, a SoundBlaster card, and so forth. It would be best to budget for the additional power now by getting at least 500W up front. That way you would not need to upgrade the power supply later.
