Laptop troubles...
So I recently purchased an HP dv6000 laptop (1gig shared ram geforce go 6150, 1.7GHz dual-core) for my college courses. It has Vista but to be honest, I don't think Vista is as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I really haven't minded that much.
The problem I am having is I seem to run extremely choppily in any flash game on this machine. I have the latest copy of Adobe flash player, all my drivers are fully updated and I have defragmented my system (though that shouldn't matter for flash games...)
Those of you who play Gun Game would know I also use this laptop for Counterstrike Source without any trouble at all.
Any ideas on what else to change to try and stop the choppy nature?

Re: Laptop troubles...
I don't understand how that could be a RAM problem if I can run counterstrike w/ medium graphics with little to no problems and a stick figure messes it up. Also my old laptop (512 RAM 128 shared video celeron processor) could run the flash fine as well.

Doesn't it say in the EULA for Vista that you are basically renting Vista from MS and that they have the right to look through files on your system for copyright enfringement? At least thats what my buddy says.
And yeah, vista is a mem hog, get rid of it and put in XP, you will be happier.

Left 4 dead Engine,Half life 2 SplitScreen?
Heres a generally supeerior idea i have come up with..
(dont let that sound snotty lol)
Is it possible to play HALF LIFE 2 the whole story,in splitscreen using the L4D PC splitscreen mode?....
i would absolutely LOVE that, but the L4D engine would have to be modified cause obviously its nothing to do with AI director and all that
is it in the works??
id LOVE to see it
infact id love to see that idea in CS the splitscreen usage,INSIDE CSS!!!!
Good idea?..i think so...but well i just wanna know if anyones considering making it,i would if i knew more about the source engine and how to modify
